What Keylit is
Keylit is production management software for filmmakers and video studios: projects, calendar, clients, crew, call sheets, estimates and invoices in one place.
What we store
- Your account email and name, so you can sign in.
- The studio data you enter: projects, clients, crew contact details and rates, call sheets, estimates, deliverables, tasks, messages, notes and files you upload.
- Data from services you choose to connect, as described below.
How it's used
Your data is used to run Keylit for you: to show your schedule and projects, build documents, send what you ask us to send, and answer questions you ask the assistant. Pages you choose to share, such as a crew call sheet link, are visible to anyone who has that link until you turn it off. People you add to your studio can see its work, apart from the areas you lock for them.
We don’t sell your data or use it for advertising.
Google user data
You sign in to Keylit with Google. Calendar and Gmail are optional, and each asks for your permission on Google’s own screen.
- Sign in with Googlegives Keylit your name, email address and profile picture, which we use to create your account and sign you in. It’s the only way to sign in.
- Google Calendar lets Keylit read the events on your primary calendar, store a copy so they show on your Keylit calendar and in your schedule, and add, update and remove events for your shoots and travel, and any event you add, change or delete from Keylit.
- Gmaillets Keylit send the messages and reminders you write to your crew, and invites to your studio, from your own address. Keylit can only send. It can’t read, search or delete anything in your mailbox. We store what you wrote in Keylit, not your mail.
We use this data only to provide these features to you. If you ask the assistant about your schedule, the relevant events are sent to Anthropic to answer you. We don’t sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models, and people can’t read it except with your permission, for security, or where the law requires.
Keylit’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
You can disconnect Calendar on the Calendar screen, which revokes Keylit’s access and deletes its copy of your events, and Gmail in Settings → Integrations, which revokes its permission to send. You can also remove Keylit’s access from your Google Account at any time.
Where it lives
Keylit is hosted on Vercel and stores data in a Supabase (PostgreSQL) database. Connection tokens are kept on the server and never sent to your browser. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest by these providers. AI features send the relevant content to Anthropic to generate a response. These providers process data on our behalf to operate the service.
Deleting your data
You can delete records from within Keylit. Deleted items stay in Recently deleted for 7 days, then they’re removed.
To delete your account, go to Settings → Account → Delete account. That removes your account right away, along with any studio you own and are alone in, including its files and its connections. Copies may remain in encrypted backups for up to 7 days. If your studio has other people in it, remove them first. Anything Keylit already added to your Google Calendar stays there, because it’s yours.
